SJU airport transfers: five hotel-name mistakes to avoid

The hotel name still matters

A hotel chain is not a destination. Compare the full property name and municipality on your accommodation confirmation before choosing a transfer zone. The examples below show why a familiar brand or a similar resort name is not enough.

Hyatt Place Bayamón

Hyatt Place Bayamón is not Hyatt Place San Juan. The Bayamón zone takes your journey farther through the metro road network, so entering the complete city name avoids a misleading San Juan estimate.

Wyndham Palmas Beach & Golf Boutique Resort

This Wyndham is in Palmas del Mar, Humacao, not Wyndham Río Mar in Río Grande. Give the full resort name and confirm hotel reception versus a separately rented Palmas villa. Gate authorization and any comfort stop must be arranged before the journey.

Royal Isabela

Royal Isabela is an Isabela property on the northwest coast. It is separate from The Royal Sonesta in Isla Verde, so the word Royal alone must never choose a zone. Check your arrival airport code and provide the property entrance for a cross-island SJU booking.

Rincón Beach Resort

Rincón Beach Resort is in Añasco despite the Rincón name. Its correct airport zone is Añasco, while Rincón of the Seas is in Rincón. For this long west-coast journey, arrange both directions and any rest stop before accepting the written fare.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Dorado del Mar Beach Resort

Use the Dorado del Mar name so the form does not select Embassy Suites San Juan in Isla Verde. Hotel reception, vacation-club units and independently rented apartments may have different entrances. Include gate and building details in the booking request.

Check before accepting the quote

Copy the full hotel name into the booking form and choose the matching suggestion. Check the selected zone against your accommodation address. If several properties match, select the correct one; if none matches, send the address for review. Then confirm the entrance, passengers, luggage, full fare and return pickup in writing.

Sources & editorial approach

Official operators are linked for current airport services, routes and schedules. Our practical planning advice is editorial guidance; confirm trip-specific instructions with your booked provider.
