Landing before check-in
Ask your accommodation directly whether it can receive your bags or provide early access. An airport transfer does not include a room, day pass or storage. Confirm where the driver should leave you if the booked room will not yet be available.
Vacation rentals need an access plan
For a villa or apartment, get the actual entry time, host contact and authorized vehicle entrance. A listing address alone does not mean a host will be there when your flight lands. If access is delayed, agree an alternative drop-off before accepting the road booking.
Late checkout is a hotel arrangement
Book your return against the airline deadline and expected journey, not a hoped-for checkout extension. If the hotel stores your bags, allow time to collect them before the agreed vehicle arrival. Your driver’s waiting allowance is separate from the hotel’s storage policy.
Airport storage is a separate service
SJU’s services page lists baggage-storage information and contacts. Check current hours, acceptance conditions and cost directly before relying on it. Do not assume that the transfer vehicle can hold bags while you spend several hours elsewhere.
Adding time or stops
A beach visit, meal, shopping stop or wait between checkout and the airport changes a direct transfer into a different service. Request the itinerary, stop duration and total price in writing; leaving the vehicle and returning much later is not automatically included.
