Tell the team before accepting
State the animal type, number of animals, carrier dimensions and the total passenger and luggage count. Ask the assigned provider to confirm the vehicle arrangement and any cleaning or additional service charge. A Standard or VIP label alone does not establish pet acceptance.
Keep the carrier in the vehicle plan
A carrier occupies real space and should be included when assessing the vehicle. Do not describe a group as only its human passengers and reveal large equipment at the terminal. Agree loading and any practical rest stop for a long mainland journey.
Airline and entry arrangements are separate
Check current travel requirements with your airline and the relevant animal-travel authorities using your actual origin, transit points and destination. USDA APHIS provides starting information for animal travel. This ground-transport guide does not certify entry eligibility or replace the required documents.
Coordinate accommodation and onward travel
Confirm the accommodation’s own arrangements. For Vieques or Culebra, contact the ferry or airline and the island transport provider separately; a mainland vehicle booking does not establish acceptance on an onward service.
Assistance animals and specific needs
Describe the practical travel assistance and vehicle space you need when requesting the quote. Ask for written confirmation from the assigned provider and contact the airline or ferry directly about its procedures. Avoid sending unnecessary medical information in the public booking notes.
