Use the flight identity
Provide the operating airline, flight number and local arrival date when requesting. The terminal and baggage arrangement can change, so a remembered terminal from a previous trip should not override your current flight information or the provider’s latest instructions.
Separate transport categories
SJU lists designated arrangements for airport taxis, rideshare and prearranged executive services. A public taxi rank is not automatically the private meeting point, and an app’s directions apply to its own booked ride. Use the instructions for the transport service you actually accepted.
Collect bags before moving to the meeting point
Make sure your party and bags are together before leaving the agreed arrival area. Domestic and international itineraries can involve different arrival steps. Tell the dispatcher promptly if baggage or an unexpected terminal change delays you.
Clarify the meeting description
Your written confirmation should describe the terminal, level or identifiable meeting place, contact method and what to do if you cannot find the driver. Do not infer that every private booking includes access inside baggage claim; confirm the assigned provider’s arrangement.
Avoid a second airport by mistake
SJU is Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Carolina. Isla Grande (SIG), Ceiba (RVR), Aguadilla (BQN) and Ponce (PSE) are separate airports. A connection departing elsewhere needs a confirmed road journey and a suitable time allowance.
Sources & editorial approach
Official operators are linked for current airport services, routes and schedules. Our practical planning advice is editorial guidance; confirm trip-specific instructions with your booked provider.
